Watching ESPN the bottom line said Pena was starting the 2nd game but the White Sox website doesn't have it yet.
Anyone know if this is true

Jackson was scratched. Game 2 starter is TBA, it will depend on how long Freddy goes in Game 1.

I don't understand what Freddy's outing has anything to do with it.

Either Jackson is ready or he's not.

Jackson isn't starting even if Freddy fails to record an out.

Maybe if Freddy only can go a couple of innings (and the game is still close), the Sox would need to bring in Pena in the first game -- not an unrealistic scenario. Hopefully the Sox bats will show up early in game 1 and/or Freddy can get the game into the 6th for the bullpen.

Freddy and Pena. Good Lord. Bring on the Bears.

Which position player takes the mound in game two? I'm voting Kotsay.

Just saw link from Sox on book, Jackson will be starting.

I don't know how recent that is. Cowley tweeted this about an hour ago:

Appears Jackson has been pulled from the start.

I saw that too and am glad...I don't want anyone from the 'pen starting.

Jackson isn't starting. What Freddy does will determine whether Pena starts or whether they have to go to the farm.

Cowley says Pena is starting Game 2 no matter what (I'm assuming...I guess that could still change though). Let's hope Freddy is on and/or lucky.

Good thing we have Johnny going on Sunday and an off day Monday.

Mark Gonzalez just posted on twitter that Pena is starting game 2 and that Chris Sale volunteered to start game 2 but sox don't wanna risk him getting injured.

Oh God just give the ball to Sale. Pena has been brutal, ERA approaching 10 since the all star break. We need both these games.

We will see how tonight goes, but Joe West may have just played a very big role in determining the winner of the AL Central.

I understand why everyone is so concerned, but remember that the Royals are in the same position as us. It's not like they're going to roll out a well-rested, top-of-the-rotation starter for the nightcap, either. Neither will they likely have a bullpen in tip-top shape tomorrow.

Ohh come on.

I hate the guy too, but all teams have to deal with weird situations like this throughout the course of a season.

There is no reason whatsoever to believe the Twins will automatically win today and that we will lose two to KC because of a rainout last night. The season doesn't end this week... or even this month.

We need Freddie to perform. We need the bats to keep doing what they've been doing the last few games. Get a grip people, all is not lost before the games are played.

That's awesome. I'm glad the kid is ready and eager to start. Our team needs more personalities like that (although, with Peavy and Beckham and now Sale, it's a good start to a mentally stronger ballclub).

The Sox have been on a downward spiral for a couple of weeks now that has nothing to do with Joe West.

If we lose the AL Central, there are plenty of things the Sox did to shoot themselves in the foot to get us 4.5 games out. While it's frustrating to have Jackson's start wasted, I'm not losing sleep over it because, in the end, it probably isn't going to make a difference.
