Ellsbury has a rib fracture and now Cameron is out for the year. Could things get any worse for them?

This is just a bad year for both the Sox and the Sawx.

Please don't put those two teams in the same sentence. The Red Sox have lost more talent due to injuries than the White Sox have on their entire team and are still hanging on to the Wild Card race. Probably won't make it, but they're doing a hell of a job considering what they lost.

I agree, as much as I hate the BoSox I have to give them credit. They are 17 games over .500 going with a ton of injuries.
I wonder what their total player days on the disabled list is.

Don't feel too sorry for them. The 2 AAA outfielders up to take their place are hitting .278 and .290. Each has had a game-winning grandslam.

What is the Red Sox payroll?
The extra 60 million in payroll allows them to field an extra set of players over the Sox.

I didn't even know that Salty was traded to Boston. And Texas was looking for a catcher earlier in the year. Wow. He went from being an all-world prospect to pretty much done in three years.

if there are baseball gods, this might be their way of dropping hints that Americans outside of BAH-STON are sick of the damn Blow Sawx.

Maybe now, the Yankmees can develop mysterious season ending injuries.
For example, Nick Swisher, A-Roid and Robinson Cano can injure themselves tripping over their egos.:D:
