Apparently they're going to announce tomorrow whether or not they're putting Bobby on the DL or sticking with him as the closer.

Does anyone have any thoughts/advanced word on this?

Is there anyone on waivers they'd try to pick up or would they just stick with Putz in the event that Bobby goes on the DL...

I think Jenks will go on the DL. No, I don't foresee a waiver pickup. The in-house solutions for closer are better than anything that might be available from outside the organization, IMO.

Thornton, Putz and Santos are all reliable relivers. Putz has just had a bad week. He could probably use a couple days off, and he's getting one today courtesy of the schedule-maker.

None of us really know who is on "waivers". I think you're confused.

Yes, we know. :wink:No, I think some people don't. They take every rumor they hear about so-and-so being on the waiver wire as being fact.

Not really that bad, in my opinion.

Putz will be fine. Just having a rough go lately. Pitchers slump too.

I guess Putz is not fine after all.

God hope Bobby can pull out of this and suck it up with the bad back.

Unless he is lying, the injury had nothing to do with him blowing 3 games last week. And until something changes Putz is planning on being ready to pitch tonight, based on his quotes.
