View Full Version : Funny Cubs Stereotype Animation
Saw this on Versus. It's an interactive animation of the "typical" Cubs fan. Though I think they are taking a swipe at Chicagoans in general with some of them. Mouse over parts of his body. *Some strong language.

It's more Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force than anything.

Epic fail. Not only was none of it particularly funny (ZOMG! People are fat in Chicago!1!!1 They like sausage!), but the "just another ****ty Midwestern town" comment shows the author is missing a chromosome or two.

Terrible SNL impression is all that is. Cubs fan "stereotype" is a Bro IMO.
That was more of a Bears fan stereotype than anything, and even then it's only just a ****ty impression of the classic Saturday Night Live skit.

The guy sounded a lot like Mike North.
Maybe that will be his new gig now that "Monsters & Money" will soon be going away... lame cartoon voiceovers.
Note... for that last sentence, I purposely choice not to put it in teal. :poke:

Correct.
Terrible impression of a lame, cliched stereotype

I thought it was funny, but it was a Chicago stereotype, not a "Cubbie" stereotype. Similar to Superfans.

What the hell, it made fun of the Cubs. That's all I got after another loss to the Twins.

The typical Cubs fan is a hipster or celebrity that wears Cubs gear simply because it's fashionable to do so, and knows absolutely nothing about baseball.

I don't know any man from Chicago who says "sneakers" either.
