Everyone's favorite team the Minnesota Twins have one through five.

Kevin Slowey on the mound.

Through six.

Umpire gives Slowey a very generous outside corner.

He's thrown 89 pitches though. Any chance he'll finish it?

Tough to say with the elbow soreness he's had recently

It would be so Twin-like of them to have their pitchers combine for a no-no.

The only reason the No-No is still going is because of a sick catch made by Jason Repko in left

A no-hitter huh? When was the last time Minnesota threw a no hitter. That would be what like the 7th no hitter this year? 2010 "The year of the No Hitter"!

Hope he gets it if they are going to win anyways, then they can go on a post no-hit losing streak.

Slowey is a ****ing pitch machine: straight fastballs, belt high, at 90 mph, and no one can hit this guy.

Top 7.

4 pitch walk.
Fielders choice, Cust on 2nd 1 down.
HBP 1st and 2nd, 1 down.

Slowey's been wild here. A walk and a hit batsman in the 7th.

JermaineDye05

Through 7.

He gets the double play.

The A's have been horrid this series.

I believe they lost the first two games 2-1 and 2-0.

Now they're close to losing one 1-0.

They are pulling Slowey. He will not return for the 8th, 7 no hit innings.

You are not impressed by a no hitter? Good God. What will it take to impress you?

This might be the worst no-hitter since Edwin Jackson's earlier this season.

If there is such a thing.

Who the **** is this Carter in LF for the A's? That was little league.

He's the power hitting prospect we traded for TCQ. I thought he was a 1B.

He's actually got a lot of promise from what I hear.

That play is at least in the top 10 of ugliest outfield plays I have ever seen.

What do you think about the decision to pull a pitcher who is 6 outs away from a no hitter?

If Minnesota had nothing to play for, keep him in.

But if he is coming off an injury or has been battling something, I'd take him out. In addition, he started to lose control.

A sweep is more important than a no-hitter at this point.

Edit: And he was already at 106

Buehrle's perfect game spoiled me. 3 Walks with a HBP and only 5 Ks. That's not AMAZING.

Slowey was pulled and Rauch blows it. I hate the Twins, but that's a shame.

Buehrle's perfect game spoiled me.

Coincidently, I've bee less impressed after seemingly every team in MLB has either no-hit or thrown a perfect game against Tampa Bay the past few seasons.

He's actually got a lot of promise from what I hear.

He is still looking for his first major league hit. His lack of production and his poor defense were factors in the Twins beating the A's in the first two games.

I can't hear the game today because the local A's radio affiliate is doing the Forty-Niners preseason game, for which the FCC should yank their license. I don't know if there was loud booing when Rauch came into the game. I was going to teal-implied post a question of whether it would violate baseball etiquette to bunt against Rauch to break up the no-hitter, but I see now that Rauch is gone, along with the no-hitter and the shutout. Unfortunately, the A's went to their tired bullpen and let the Twins build the lead.

There was nothing ugly about Slowey's no-hitter. And, really, Gardenhire should have left him in the game until he gave up a hit with the lead at four. If he gives up a hit, he comes out of the game and fans get to applaud him. The A's didn't break up his no-hitter. His manager did.

Are you less impressed with Sandy Koufax because his perfect game came against the Cubs who would end up losing 90 games?

I don't see how you can fail to be impressed with a no-hitter because there aren't enough strike outs or are too many walks. If you aren't impressed with a perfect game, I'm not sure why you're watching baseball.

No.

But Tampa Bay has been no-hit and perfect game'd strangely often.

They were almost no-hit a week or two ago by the guy in Toronto.
