This has got to be getting beyond embarrassing for the Rays, GO Jays. I love no-hitters.

The stuff he's throwing out there right now, it's just absolutely filthy.

Quite a contrast from the 17-11 game these two teams played yesterday.

He really has awesome stuff. One of those guys I like rooting for that's not on the Sox.

Plus against they Rays. So embarrassing.

This isn't on MLB Network, correct?

JermaineDye05

Given that it's a 1-0 game, I think now would be one of those times we see a bunt from someone like Bartlett/Zobrist/Crawford (all who are up next inning) to attempt to break it up. If that indeed happens, I wonder what the reaction will be like.

JermaineDye05
08-08-2010, 03:29 PM
a 1-out walk on four pitches.

spongyfungy
08-08-2010, 03:30 PM
That's a generous strike zone.

That slider is wicked

JermaineDye05

JermaineDye05
08-08-2010, 03:32 PM
and it's Longoria up there as the go-ahead run.

That's what happens when you have a no-no in the 9th inning.

Some questionable defensive positioning with two outs. Not sure why the 2nd baseman was cheating towards 2nd.

Marqhead
08-08-2010, 03:35 PM
Let's hope he doesn't blow the win now.

JermaineDye05
08-08-2010, 03:36 PM

spongyfungy
08-08-2010, 03:36 PM

Tough way to lose a no-no, but then again, I guess it's tough any way.

Finally saw the replay and I'm wondering the same thing. But I don't know if teams usually play a shift on Longoria.

It was a one run game, and getting the win is still objective #1. I'm guessing they didn't want to lose the no-no and the lead on a single, so they held him at first.
