Thome rips a homer, ruled a double. Goes to video replay and still ruled as double when replay clearly shows homer.

Does Ozzie have pics of these umps in compromising situations?

Sox remain 1.5 games up

The replay did not "clearly" show anything. I watched it about a hundred times, in Hi-Def, since I live in Minnesota. I still don't know what it was. It requires indisputable evidence to overturn the call on the field. It either hit the top corner of the pad, or it hit the bottom rail of the metal railing, but it was not clear, so the call on the field stands.

If it hits the metal rail it's a home run, right?

It clearly shows it hitting the metal rail.

This makes up for the catwalk crap yesterday in Tampa. Nice to see Liriano being human tonight too. I was worried he was going to keep that scoreless streak going forever.

Even if it was the wrong call, Casilla knocked both guys in with a single.

So that call did not cost the Twins anything.

I'll take it any day if it's the Twins, but this was such a shocker considering they had the replay to study.

It clearly shows it hitting the metal rail. Not on any of the dozens of replays I've seen.

Start at about 1:15. But you might want to go grab your coke bottle glasses first. :D:

This was a tough call, I don't think anything was definitive. But I do believe it was a HR, looked like it caromed off of the railing/cement on the other side of the yellow line. Tough one, and I don't blame the umps for calling it like they did.

Funny to see Thome drop some F-bombs in the dugout, also funny to see the Twins eventually lose.

I definitely wasn't clear. It hit either the yellow line or just barely above it. I don't see how you can overturn that call.

Although, now that I'm watching it for like the 50th time, it might have hit some concrete right there. I don't know. I wish I had Hi-Def to watch it.

I think its pretty clear its a HR.

To think its inconclusive, you have to have your anti-Twins glasses on.
