Listening to the Score and just heard some good news, don't know who the host is but he just said a reliable source just told him sit tight, the Dunn deal is not over yet.

Mod Edit: KW said no such thing. Your thread title was misleading. Don't do it again.

Yeah I just caught that too. I thought it was too late though?

Likely the same sources that guaranteed that D. Wade would be playing for the Bulls this fall.

There's wiggle room there. Kenny Williams was talking about 3:05 yesterday.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I believe there situations where the league can grant an additional few minutes or so.

Trades can be made right before the deadline and not announced until a little after 3PM. It has happened with the Sox a couple times, but I don;t remember the player.

Jackson and Flowers were offered, and the Nats said no.

They wanted Jackson and Viciedo, and the Sox said no.

Lance Berkman just said he picked Yanks over Sox cause of his friendship with Pettite. So thats makes 2 of Chicago's teams getting burned because of somebodies friends.

I wrote it in a rush, thought I heard KW, no need to get bitchy, correct me if I'm wrong then. Where you listening to the Score?

Yeah perhaps, but isn't one of the reason that Peavy came to the Sox his relationship with Linebrink. So, it goes both ways - or every way.

Linebrink and Peavy are best friends, so it might have worked in our favor, too.

Flowers went from "untouchable" last trade deadline to no even making a deal work this one.

What the original poster heard was Goff reported that KW told Edwin Jackson to "sit tight" and don't report to the ballpark until after the trade deadline had passed. Then he went on to say that he just received a text and the Dunn deal may not be dead....

This is actually good news (not the fact that the Sox are still short a hitter). I would have been upset had Viciedo been given up for a couple of months of Dunn... not to mention the fact that to replace Jackson, Myers would have required at least 1 other player.

Probably can close the book on a Dunn trade, closing in on 4 o'clock.

Bring it down a notch. You're the one starting a thread claiming KW said to hold on. You start a thread like that, be prepared to get called on it.
