Well done on the title, I was hoping it would be a hyphen pun though.

I'm also glad the pen isn't getting used too much. They need as much rest as they can get before the Detroit series.

Mostly for the Tuesday doubleheader. Good thing we have Monday off.

The way this week has started and looks to play itself out, Detroit's going to be fighting for their lives in that series.

Oh yeah, so nice to have a laugher of a game. No doubt about it from the end of the 2nd on. Great job and great production from almost everyone. Glad Ozzie was able to give some guys some rest and some extra AB for the bench.

Jones, TCM, Paulie, AJ, Tank and of course Gavin they all contributed to...

The hyphen had one of the worst curveballs today I've seen in a long time at the major league level...and the Sox made him pay.

Good win.

Kotsay out, Sox Rout!

Floyd'a ERA is 1.03 since June 8 with no homers allowed in his past 69 1/3 innings.

Keep pitching boys and good things will happen.

Seattle is terrible. Sweep these fools.

Living proof that you can only have so much pitching, but if you don't hit, you ain't winning. Take Ichiro out of that lineup, and that team's hitting less than .230. They give up more than 3 runs, and they're done.

Buehrle's got to go out and pitch like he pitched Friday, which means Omar needs to play third tomorrow with a lot of cutters down and in to right-handers. Offense needs to stay hot in what should be a very warm night tomorrow.

Probably out tomorrow as well, with the left-hander Vargas going for Seattle.

Viciedo amazes me with the way the ball comes off his bat. Vicious line drives that bore thru the nite, defying gravity.
I wonder if Ozzie goes with the same lineup vs another lefty tommorrow? I hope so, cuz I love to watch Dayan hit.
Just when you think Andruw is on his way out...he pulls you back in with another homer.

Gavin is golden. Best streak for a pitcher since Jose won 16 in a row in 05-06.
This is gonna be a long two months if the Twins keep mashing.

With Buehrle pitching, I expect you will see Omar at 3B. Maybe Viciedo finally gets to DH?

I hope so. I don't see how you can be so desperate to add another bat via trade, but keep Viciedo out of the line up at the same time...keep playing him until he cools off...especially vs. LH's.

I know he's only 20 and has a lot to learn, but holy smokes, I can't remember a guy since Frank Thomas who hit the ball as hard as he does. Every time he makes good contact it is a ****ing missile.

I hope the Sox keep him. If he could learn just a bit of plate discipline... It's scary to think how good he might be.

He is a testament to the fact that if you can throw left-handed, you can find a job in professional baseball somewhere.

Apparenty someone didn't like my Mr. Vargas statement...it was an allusion to the Biology teacher in Fast times at Ridgemont High...not the cuurent pitcher (don't know what his wife looks like, if he even has one).

Makes me wish someone had taught me to pitch when I was little. 10% of the population, 40% of baseball.

I know most of our lineup was lighting up Mariners pitching yesterday, but is this performance finally going to earn Viciedo some more playing time? This makes 7 of the last 8 starts for him where he gets a hit.

I know the Sox don't want him to be destined to be a DH, but why can't he play there short term to see if he helps the team. I'm not saying he's definitely going to be slugging us to a title, but geez this guy seems to be blocked out of the lineup by two guys (Kotsay/Jones) that are hitting around .210.

Hitting .303 over his last 10 games...I'd like to see him at DH 2-3/week, 3rd base 1-2/week when Vizquel needs a rest. Go with the hot hand until he cools off.
