His ERA is now 3.87

Very good comeback after the first inning.

I'm loving our future staff even more now.

Does anyone have any scouting report about him? He has an EXCELLENT year in Birmingham, and he has already broken the save record. (30 so far)

His pitching line: 1.32ERA 54.2IP 11BB 53K

Great control, great k/bb number and since he's already pitched great in Class AA, there is a good chance he can contribute to the big league club soon.

P.S. Don't forget Joe Valentine, the closer in our W-S team. He has allowed ZERO earned run in 30IP so far with 4 (! our minor league hitters stink= not too many save situations!) saves.

Daver: I forgot, but I'd still leave him off the list.

I'm looking for a scouting report, but here is his stuff from the Barons' webpage - if that is of any value at all...

Edwin Almonte - Closer Extraordinare??? (http://www.barons.com/2001Team/almonte.shtml)
