I don't think Sox Army is needed for this one. Everyone knows that's the best.

EDIT: I didn't see what it's up against, but I'm fairly confident in it winning.

The guy diving over the catcher could beat it, IMHO. I saw that one shared a lot over facebook, etc, when it happened.

Anyone can jump over a catcher, not too many people can do what buehrle did. It was a good play but doesn't come near to buehrle.

I believe it's happening right now so it's probably too late to vote.

Favre wins. Can't go wrong with that.:D: I was hoping for Buehrle but I'm happy with either.

White Sox board, not Bears. I'm a Vikings fan.

That's a play that at least half of the QB's in the NFL can make. I want to see five MLB pitchers do what Buehrle did.

It was less Favre and more Lewis.

Countless NFL wide receivers can make that play. That award essentially says that was the catch of the year, and it probably wouldn't make my top five. The reason that play was nominated was because of the name of the guy who threw the ball.

You're right, this is a White Sox board. That's why we think Buehrle should have won. Plus, it was truly the best play made.

It's the combination of a lot of things, it was 12 seconds left. They were down by 4 (needed a touchdown), Favre got smashed right as he threw it, Lewis had to pull it out of the air while getting hit and keep both feet in bounds. This game (that play) showed the world Favre was going to make noise in Minnesota.

It's not that it was a Vikings play, if it was a great run by AP or Jared Allen with a great defensive play, that's fine. I just can't ****ing stand Brett Favre, and it's ESPN giving him even more love. Ugh. It's tiring.

It is a wonder he didn't think of that first. As we speak is he thinking of ways to top such asshattery. Maybe he will have an ESPN telethon on Labor Day where he will return if they raise $10 million.

Are you really that shocked that a bunch of people on a CHICAGO White Sox board think Brett Fav-ray is an asshat?

**** the ESPY's. Not because of the Favre vote, but in general.

Change Buehrle's name to Joba Chamberlain or Jonathan Papelbon and he wins.

Just put an NY on his jersey and he's there.

I'm not surprised.

I should have really looked at the choices before I posted initially.

I don't think it had anything to do with the jersey that Buehrle was wearing. It was the sport he was playing.

You put a baseball play against a football play and football will win 10 times out of 10, especially when you have that tool Brett Favre involved. I don't like it but football is king in the US and we all know this (this makes it especially frustrating for myself considering I don't like the sport).

Why wasn't Wise's catch nominated? That should have been a shoe-in winner for best play.

That's what is more shocking. It seems like it was only start of 2010. So let's say a baseball player catches one with his teeth tonight it won't be nominated next year.
