I got the Sox winning 2 because you just can't expect them to win 3/4 against a solid team at their home park. I wouldn't mind 3 or 4 though.:D:

W-L-L-W

This is not based off of pitching matchups or any statistical analysis, or even a gut feeling.

Rather this is from my desire to see the maximum emotional swing in threads on WSI. A win in the first game will seal the deal that the Sox are going to run away with the division and are unstoppable by anyone less than the '27 Yankees. Two consecutive losses will result in ulogies for the entire team and perhaps even death sentences for next season. The final game win will get us back where we started

I exaggerate of course. Maybe.

Of course, we all hope for a sweep, but I think the Twins will get one of these games.

I think we win 3 or we sweep. This was not a fluke.

Liriano game is the only one that I think we should be underdogs in.

I like our chances of getting 3 and if we don't split at a minimum I will be shocked.

He's risking the possibility of the 4 game rain out.

I'd be happy with a 2-2 tie too.

The Sox have to avoid the 2nd half flops that happened in 2006 and 2009 when they were at least tied for a playoff spot in July and then went on to fall flat on their face.

I went the dark cloud route and predicted a 1-3 series. I know the Metrodome is gone, but I still half-expect the Twins to kill us with bloop hits and seeing-eye singles and for Nick Punto to suddenly turn into an MVP candidate once he's facing the Sox.

The Sox need to win more games vs. division rivals. Our record playing in KC is 2-4 this year. Our record vs. last place Cleveland as 4-8. They need to prove this weekend that those numbers are are not the norm for this team.

I think the lefties will both win and Floyd will battle Liriano for the 3rd victory.

I'd love a split. Anything better than that proves that the Twins "magic" lived in the inflat-a-dome.

I'd love a split. Anything better than that proves that the Twins "magic" lived in the inflat-a-dome.Or it was all in the Sox' heads. The Twins had more than their fair share of fluke garbage happen against other teams, but there was no reason the Sox, who had winning records and were well over .500 against the Twins at home, should have lost 7 or 8 out of the 9 games played in that ****hole every year. They went into games feeling like they didn't have a chance, as Orlando Cabrera later revealed. Hopefully they are over that now.

This weekend the White Sox buzz saw moves through Minnesota. There will be carnage.
