Now that Peavy is done for the year and Dan Hudson is set to start for us tomrrow, what do you predict will happen with this spot in the rotation from here on out?

I'm going for Hudson to do the job, this is the start of what we hope will be a very good career. I know he pitched a few games in Sept of 2009 when we were out of the race but this is a little bit different since we are fighting for the division. Lets hope he meets the challenge.

If Hudson gets 15 starts, the Sox are capable to go 8-7 in his starts. That's adequate.

I'm not worried at all--but seeing as these rookie pitchers have never seen any Major League batters ever, I bet Hudson will have one or two rough outings.

For some reason I have no recollection of that at all.

Hudson's first career strikeout was against whom?

None other than Brian Anderson

My poll option:

Hudson has some good starts and some bad starts, Kenny goes out and gets a pitcher anyway.

It's hard to tell, it'll be a wait and see.

Those games he pitched in he didn't do all that bad I'm impressed. Because hes had more time in the minors since then, I think he will suffice when coming up here.

4 of those games were vs. teams that were in the playoff hunt. So, it wasn't just "garbage time" for all his opponents.

Like you said, he's also had the benefit of a half season at AAA since then.

He might be in for a rough debut tomorrow though. KC is a good hitting team. I just hope Hudson does good enough to keep us in the game vs. Greinke.

I think Hudson will do ok, nothing too great.

I've heard rumblings of Tony Pena starting?

Please tell me I'm wrong?

Hudson is starting. Marquez was sent down after the game.

If Dan Hudson doesn't work out I wouldn't have a problem giving him a shot... I don't think Danny's going to blow it though.

There's no way Pena will start another game unless it's a spot start or an emergency.

If they don't make a trade, it'll be Hudson, then Torres, then pick up somebody off waivers.
