Who will you be rooting for this weekend? At first I thought it would be great to see the Twins win this weekend, so the Sox could be in 1st Place at the All-Star break.

Now I think I would like to see the Tigers and the Sox to sweep the Twins and knock them out of the race.

I'm more worried about the Tigers in the long run this season.

Go Twins (yuck! have I ever said that in my lifetime?)

Twins 2 out of 3 hopefully. I don't like the idea of anyone getting too far ahead of us.

I say Tigers 2 of 3....push the twins 2.5 back of the Sox when the Sox sweep the Royals...hopefully. That leaves the tigers a half game back also...and Sox in first at the All Star Break....nice.

I hope each game goes at least 15 innings and they tax their bullpens to the max. Here's to that Tigers sweeping the Twins, in a 52 innings bonaza series.

The Sox.

:D: I like this one. But as far as MIn/Det, I'll be happy as long as Detroit doesn't sweep.

I think our perception of the Tigers is skewed because the Sox play so much better against Detroit than we historically do against the Twins. Don't underestimate the Tigers. They can mash the ball, Cabrera and Maggs are having monster years, and their bullpen is better than Minnesota's even without Zumaya. If Detroit adds a starting pitcher which I think they will, I think they might be our biggest threat.

Why not have Detroit win and the Sox still be in first?

Word. Tigers can easily choke down the stretch but not those darn Twinkies.
