...should the Sox pursue Carlos Zambrano? I say ABSOLUTELY NOT! Like I said after Zambrano's most recent meltdonw, I would not want Carlos Zambrano even if all our starters went down with season ending injuries.

If the Cubs paid about 90% of Z contract and they took Linebrink and low level prospect than why not.

A ****ty pitcher and Clubhouse cancer? No, I'll stick with firing random Minor leaguers up here to do the job.

I'd rather have Bartolo Colon.

If anyone could find him.

I think if Z was to come to the Sox. Ozzie would be able to handle him since they're good friends.

Zambrano has been pitching like crap this year. I'd rather have a guy like Jake Westbrook, and I don't even like Westbrook.

I said yes, but it depends on what it takes. If it takes Linebrink and they pay all-90% of his salary, yes I do. He could just need a change of scenery. If it doesn't work, you don't owe him much, and with the Cubs picking up most of his salary, either find someone to trade for him, or just cut him.

Only if the Cubs pay 200% of his salary.

Dan Hudson is probably better anyway.

What if the Cubs take Linebrink and Teahen?

He's been pitching like crap. Why on Earth would we want him? I figure with Hudson in the five spot now, it would cost us maybe two wins that Peavy would have otherwise gotten us.

True but paradoxically when you find him you'll wonder how you could ever miss him

HELL NO!!

IMO,He's a ticking time bomb waiting to implode.

That stunt he pulled a few weeks ago on the South Side would not
go over well with anyone on the Sox.

That's the same thing people said about Thornton, Freddy, Jenks, etc. before we acquired them.

This is getting too easy, I need a new challenge.

No based on what I've seen.

That said, if the Sox were to get him, I wouldn't boo.

If the Cubs eat 75% of his salary, maybe.

We're still on the hook for Peavy, and don't need another ace with Burls and Danks.

I'd prefer an inning-eater type who can get us 6 good innings every 5th day. Could be Hudson, could be a guy we get via trade.

As a Cubs fan I wholeheartedly say YES! Please take him.

We may not have the ammo for him, but what about Ted Lilly?

I don't think the Cubs would do anything to help out the White Sox, however moving Zambrano would help the Cubs.

The only bright spot is that I think Ozzie would have a better relationship with him than Lou Pinella. Not sure if that would actually fix anything or make him pitch better, however Zambrano needs to leave as much as the Cubs need for him to leave.

I think we try Hudson, however I think the Cubs want to move Zambrano as soon as they can. The question is who will take him.
