I'll finally be getting to my first game of the season! I'll be at the game with a small group of friends. Here's hoping the Sox can take care of business and that Gavin can get some more run support!

Haha, something like that...I also needed to be able to afford all the Hawks playoff tickets I bought.

Have club level tickets been selling for face value normally this season?

I don't know. Took a quick look Friday morning...and face value (+ service charges) was available.

No. They are delivered by someone doing the Monty Python Silly Walk. That just ain't normal.

I'm getting a free ticket to this from a friend. I don't know if it's in the UD or LD, but I'll be there. If you see a guy with glasses wearing a #43 Herbert Perry jersey, that's me.

Kazmir has given us fits in the past I seem to recall, but his ERA this season looks high.

Sitting in club level with my youngest. A reward to him for getting straight A's all year at school.

Great crowed, a near sellout. Glad to see the winning/weather/holiday weekend/half price bringing more people to the park. Except for that damn wave.

They called it a sellout. If everyone knew about the all the half price promotions (http://www.yelp.com/topic/chicago-official-2010-chicago-white-sox-discount-thread-tix-and-more) then we would see many more crowds like this. As of now, tickets are way too much with the current economy.

One thing I learned tonight is that even when the Sox do something great to get the crowd going and thus break the wave up, it's only a matter of time before the same people start it up again.

I'm so glad TCQ made something happen before the wave got around to our side to disrupt the entire wave...It was bothersome.

The 100 level crowd was too busy watching the game to participate. Were you guys bored up there or something?

I was watching with rapt attention! I was threatened to be smacked if I participated in the wave.

It happens on the 100 level more often than some people around here would like to admit, including the last couple games I attended.

I was at the Strasburg game in DC. The place was packed but nobody cared about the game, especially when he wasn't pitching (and yes, I was in the lower deck). This guy was getting the wave going with the old "1, 2, 3 go". He did it about 3 times and I realized he was making progress so I jumped up and yelled "1, 2, 3 sit the **** down!" He stopped and didn't do it the rest of the game. I even got some hi-fives from Nats fans. :redneck

On the post-game show, Rongey said that the walk-up was 4000 tonight!

I wasn't. You'll be glad to know I did not participate in it even though some people were encouraging the wave.
