Well I throw left handed so I could be reliever for a long time in the big leagues even though I'm not very good.

I could be a utility player, I played every position except 3B and SS this last year in high school ball.

Mostly catcher and LF though.

After filling the spots, the biggest thread on WSI will be titled "Now that we have both Brian Anderson and Aaron Rowand on the roster, who starts in Center?" despite the fact that Brian Anderson is now the next Nolan Ryan.

If I were only younger and my arm didn't fall off, I'd tryout.

I am seriously going down to try out. Not that I think I will come close to making the team.

But growing up being on the White Sox is something I dreamed about but I was always better at golf. ( I did get offered baseball scholarships but it was never an option because everyone knew golf was the clear route for me).

So Alabama here I come! All the way from So Cal!!!!

I will also document the whole trip and day and edit it and put it on YouTube.

I think it will be just a cool thing to tell my grandkids about and have filmed, hey your grandpa tried out for the white sox.

I have to pass considering I haven't played organized ball in seven years. I'd rather keep my dignity than humiliate myself.

I know you're 1/2 kidding, but it would serve anyone with any athletic ability to:

Learn to throw a knuckleball
Learn how to bunt well

You forgot learn how to pitch left-handed. You're guaranteed a job until you're at least in your 40s.
