send the equivalent of a 90-mph fastball

So, is it the equivalent for his age, because he's definitely not hitting 90 in that video?

So he can time a fastball, while impressive at his age(very, very impressive), lemme know when he starts hitting curveballs, THEN we can call him a phenom.

Not taking anything away from the kid but 55 is nowhere near 90. It's not even close.

Yeah, I get the reflexes thing, which is impressive, but 1/2 the reason people can't hit a 90 MPH pitch is because they're terrified of getting hit. If you've ever been hit by a 90 MPH fastball (especially in a non-meaty part of your body like your hand) you know how much that **** hurts.

Not saying this isn't impressive for a kid his age, but let's not exaggerate here.

I don't think that's quite true. I've seen plenty of guys walk into a batting 80-90 MPH batting cage (where there's very little chance of getting hit by the ball) and whiffing at every pitch.

When I first read the thread title, I thought you meant he hit 90mph on the radar gun, as a pitcher. That would have impressed me a lot more. :D:

I thought the same thing, and my imagination ran wild there for a couple minutes before I saw the video. It was kind of a let down.:D:
