"The Cubs are offering diehard fans a chance to emulate their pin-striped heroes, though getting doubled off second base on a routine fly to left is strictly optional"

Wow, Rogers finally comes through with a well turned witticism. Bravo!

Yikes that's steep, but hey if the money is going to charity (that's usually the case with most of these fan camps)...

If I had the money and time, I'd go to a Sox fantasy camp. Hell, I'd probably go to a cub camp. I think it would be a blast. I'd be like Kramer hitting Mickey Mantle!

I thought this was for Fantasy Baseball and was going to make some remarks about the Cubs not knowing personnel well enough. But now that I see someone could sign a one day contract and play with some of the Cubbie greats I think I would do it if I had that kind of money! I mean, Rick Sutcliffe? Ernie Banks? Billy Williams? That's pretty cool.

Maybe Soriano will be there to give a seminar called "Crappy Left Fielding Made Fun."

The Sox charge about 2,500 but that's for a full week.

It doesn't even sound like you get a hotel stay either. I'm guessing someone who could shell out $7,500 for this probably has a few friends who might do the same - so the price does drop to $5,000. Still steep, but it does sound fun.
