I agree with the commenter. I would love to see DeJesus in a WS uniform. Plus he's a lefty. Not exactly Mr. Power, but he's getting on base a lot.

I would be happy if we never had an ex-Royal ever again.

I would certainly make an exception for Mr. Grienke.

I was thinking that, but I am sure it would blow up somehow.

I agree but Grienke is too good. KW likes the ones on K.C. that really suck. So, i would have to side with Bobby Thigpen.

Grienke has had anxiety issues, correct? Not sure, but there might be a smidge more pressure in Chicago.

That was addressed two years ago and is now under control.

I was excited to see Mark Teahen in a WS uniform and that hasn't worked out so well so I'm off the whole let's trade with the Royals thing.

Yep, he did. But a healthy dose of Paxil or Cymbalta sure does help.

I'd take a chance on Alex Gordon since they are hell-bent on leaving him in AAA.

Funny you say that because Gordon is the next Royal reject I joke with my friends that the Sox will pickup. You do realize Gordon is in AAA for a reason?

Even so he's hitting .366 with an OPS of 1.2. Wouldn't mind seeing what we can do with him

But... at AAA... not MLB.

I would take Gordon in a heartbeat. What would we have to give up for him?

Let's trade Gordons!!

But seriously, I always thought Alex Gordon was Josh Fields with better defense. Do we really want that again?

The main problem with Fields was the defense, if he could throw the leather he would have gotten more of a chance with Sox even with his 35% SO rate. The main problem at 3b now is defense, so yeah, if his defense is good maybe we do want that.

I always thought Gordon was supposed to be more of a high average hitter anyway though.

Wow. Just looking at Gordon's bb-ref page, this is only his 3rd year in the minors. He played one year at AA in 2006, where he batted .325/.427/.588 before getting the call. Sent back in 2009. Career .332 average in the minors. Seems like the kind of guy who could bounce back if/when he gets another shot. Still only 26.

Didn't have injury issues in 2009 resulting in the minors demotion? He didn't do too bad '07-'08, considering his lack of experience. Why isn't he with the club now?

No but then again... maybe being compared to George Brett got to him.

He's still incredibly anti-social and anti-spotlight. His interviews are awkward and he seems uncomfortable in his skin. I still do not think he could pitch in a major market.

What do you think it would take to get this pitching prospect Anderson they've got?

Yeah, those really ****ty ex-Royals like Jermaine Dye and Johnny Damon.

Don't forget Carlos Beltran and Mike Sweeney too. From the current squad, who would want crappy Billy Butler and Joakim Soria? Not me, they are Royals players who suck!

That was similar to Ross Gload though somewhere in the 04-06 timeframe. He could've won a batting title down in AAA but in the majors wasn't much more than a decent bench player.

He's a .289/.361/.430 career hitter. Not as much power as you would like obviously but quite respectable. Rios and DeJesus in the outfield together would be elite defensively. I'm not sure if I would do it mainly because of the age difference but I'll throw it out there:

Quentin for DeJesus?

HarryChappas

I would do that deal in heartbeat. I am a Quentin Hater from way back. He looks like a robot when he swings. He should not be part of our long term plans.
