I heard "Hawk" mention the pitching matchups for the Braves series. Tom Glavine is pitching tomorrow night. Keep in mind that he is a finesse pitcher who relies on mixing his pitches and targeting specific locations in order to retire hitters. He is not known for his fastball. I have a feeling we will see the almighty Francis Thomas in the lineup again. Ughh!

For those of you who may be confused, Francis Thomas is the evil, incompetent twin of Frank Thomas. Francis has been around a lot recently. Frank was last seen during the series with the New York Mets when he went 2-4 with a three-run homer.

I'm worried about this series against Atlanta. We really need to win some games before going to Minnesota. It's not like we have our best pitchers going against Atlanta either but at least Buehrle will be pitching in Minnesota. Does anyone know what his numbers are against the Twins?

Burly could kill minny. They've struggled with southpaw's all year long.

Atlanta's a very good team. They have a rookie pitcher named Moss who's pitching awesomely. Maybe he'll hit a wall, but crap, he can shut teams down.

Tonight we have two choices on the TV broadcast because the Atlanta broadcast will be available on cable (TNT or TBS, or whatever Turner's cable station is).

In the span of one week we've had Chip Caray announcing a Sox game and now Skip Caray, if Skip is doing the game.

Go Sox!

yeah, we've got a tall order to go into atlanta and take 2 of 3--that's my hope. hopefully the ritchie of late last year or early this year decides to show up, and glavine decides to uncharacteristically groove a bunch of fastballs.

We CAN'T get swept.

GO SOX!

How many runs will Toad Ritchie give up in the first inning tonight? I'll be conservative and say 4.
