Very strange that so many teams have the holiday off.

Still May 31st is a traditional checkpoint to see how the season is shaping up.

A few teams are in 'wait it next year mode' already - Baltimore, Cleveland, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Houston and Arizona. The White Sox, Seattle, and Milwaukee are lagging badly. These look like the sellers 2 months from now.

Everybody else has a 'shot' at October glory.

Nobody is a lock for the post-season yet. Tampa is on fire on the road but just 15-12 at home. The AL East looks like at least a 3 team fight but Toronto has been better than expected.

The Twins have taken to outdoor baseball at home far better than anyone expected with a 18-9 record.

Cincinnati is the biggest surprise in the NL.

I strongly suspect the White Sox could see a new manager soon to shake things up. There is no spark on that team.

Boston had a good May after an awful April and sweeping Tampa last week helps negate the Rays sweep at Fenway in April. But they are losing to many games at home and that may doom them.

This is going to be a interesting summer.

.
I take this as you assume Tampa, NYY and Boston are the 3 teams. Toronto is ahead of Boston.
