I seem to recall him being pretty animated and rather hyper up there on the mound, the heart attack really doesn't surprise me.

I don't think being animated on the mound has any direct correlation with heart disease.

He was great in '98 and '99, then the Astros moved out of the Astrodome and he was never the same.

I was reading the summary of his career on Wikipedia, he sure had an up and down career but he was pretty damn entertaining.
48 homers given up in one season, 2 shy of the record.
6.99 ERA is the highest ever for a pitcher making 30 or more starts.
5 hit shutout of the Cardinals for the Dodgers first post season win since the 88 series.
