The Appalacian League affiliate of the White Sox, the Bristol Sox, played their first game of the season last night. Justin Dowdy started and pitched 3 inning, and gave up 3 ER's on 4 H's, 4 BB's, and 3 K's.

Starters last night included Carlos Lee, Andy Gonzalez, Anthony Webster, Bo Ivy, and Brandon Bounds.

Rick Hummel also made his professional Debut on the mound going 2 perfect innings.

I saw the box score at baseballamerica.com and saw:

3B C Lee, and it reminded me of when el caballo was still down on the farm....gosh I love reminiscing

That and it'll be good to see Andy in action again.

Andy Gonzalez has more BB's than K's. True sign that it is still early...LOL

Arizona League starts today with the Pheonix Sox in action too!

Today actually. Rogowski is playing, and Andy Gonzalez took 3 more walks yesterday, and Josh Rupe made his professional debut......
