Reports are both of these guys might be trade this season. Which guy would you rather have?

My choice would be Gonzalez

Fielder.

But this is like asking what color you want your walls painted when your house is burning down.

0% chance of getting A-gon if the padres continue to play great baseball.

Didn't you just suggest trading 14 players away this year, including a handful within 6 weeks?

...but if I have to pick, I'd go AGon.

Neither, unless we get a new coaching staff.

When did I say this was for the Sox?

I prefer Fielder but you have a better chance of Gonzalez sticking around because his agent isn't Scott Boras, plus he knows Peavy and Linebrink. Not sure how their relationships were, but I'm sure it'd be an easier transition moving into a clubhouse with a few familiar faces.

I'll take Gonzalez...you can have the fat guy

Fielder.

Seriously. The Sox are getting neither. The plan all along for this season is just to cross their fingers and hope the lineup they put together was better than it was on paper.

We're in Plan B mode now - which is to say that this team is so bad that one extra player isn't going to make a difference.

You asked SOX fans which one would you rather have.

It depends on the price. If they're the same price, I'd take Gonzalez b/c Prince is a FA after this season, while Gonzalez has a team option for 2011.

If the Sox were guaranteed to re-sign them, I'd rather have Prince though.

Our most desperate need is at 3rd base...I choose "other".

I heard they are both really clamoring to come to an underachieving team in a different league with an awesome hitting coach. Looks like we are right up their ally!!!!

Haven't you heard ? Gonzalez knows Jake Peavy. Therefore, he's dying to play for the White Sox. He doesn't know any other baseball players.
