View Full Version : Heard this on Fox
I was watching the Yankees-Red Sox on Fox (:puking:), and it started to rain so heavily that within 2 pitches the tarp was brought on with 2 outs in the bottom of the 5th. The announcer (McCarver?) said that for the game to be official and Sabathia to get the win the game had to go 5 full innings. I may be wrong, but I always thought it was 4 innings, at least for a pitcher to get a win. Which is it?

4 1/2 for the home team and 5 for the visiting team for a complete game. A winning SP must go 5, I don't believe there's any exceptions.
