I was a Senior in HS when he debuted. I didn't think he would win 47 games in his career.
A 2-hit shutout at his age.... Wow!! The oldest MLB pitcher ever to throw one.
But you have to tip your cap. First guy in MLB history to be 20 games UNDER .500 and eventually be 30 or more games OVER .500.
He now has 262 wins. He could actually get 300 wins.
For now he is probably in Tommy John's or Jim Kaat's category regarding as just not being good enough even though the longetivity was there.
But if he gets 300, he has to go in.
