Forgive me if this has been posted already.

I thought this was an interesting story. Don't you always wonder what happens to minor leaguers that don's make it up to the big show?

When I was in school, I had an ex-pro basketball player living next door as he was finishing his degree. He said it was the best experience of his life traveling around but that he "couldn't play forever" and needed to get a "real" job. I also have a couple buddies who have played minor league ball for a year or two just to do it, and they all came back to finish their degrees as well. One is in upper level management where I work and is a mentor to me. He has been great about inviting me to lunch with some of his friends that are still involved in the game.

Great story. Always good to hear good people taking a prominant role of cleaning up the streets after the playing career was over.

Cool story.

Many years ago I worked in the building where the Lisle FBI office is located. They had a open house one day and we saw a lot of interesting stuff.
