Sony released a MLB-TV app for the PS3 today, and it's very impressive. But you're required to have a MLB TV subscription to watch the video.

I'm watching yesterday's Sox game on my HDTV in pretty decent quality.

The interface is better than the one on my computer and iPhone. :D: You can navigate easily to the day's games and click on the games listed on a calendar of your team to watch.

Unfortunately, the same live blackout rules apply...

Yep. :D: Just not blacked out local ones, like the Sox.

In HD too, but you need a really fast DSL connection for that.

Local blackout restrictions still apply.

Excellent news, I'm getting sick of hooking my laptop up to the tv.

Wish they would do this for the Wii, like Netflix did.

If the game is on local tv is it still blacked out on MLB.TV?

Just checked it out, very cool! I like the features so far, lets you link your favorite team and then shows the calendar for that team. lists all the games so you can scroll through and get the scores and choose the home or away feed (if you have premium). Overall the interface looks great.

Only problem is it froze on me when I tried to quit.

Its complicated. If you're in the Sox area, yes. So its useless for people actually in Chicago. Its stupid. But it doesn't matter to me, I'm in New Orleans.

Your profile says you're in Iowa... I bet you can't get Sox games at all.

Well, useless if you're getting it to watch the Sox.

Also noticing that you can't watch more than one game at once unless I'm missing something. That will be a big drawback.
