We only have the third worst record in baseball. Eat that, Baltimore!

We're only the third-worst? Jeez, we can't even do that right!

Best not to let Jenks close against the Orioles.

It's pretty embarrassing that this thread exists. I don't want to be the third-worst anything.

It's not so bad when there are only 3 things.

There are a couple of other teams including the Angels and Brewers who are 4-7. So...we've got that going for us.

Boston is 4-7. Then again 11 games out of 162 is what? 5% or so... not really a big deal. I'd be more concerned about how the Sox are actually playing rather than their record after a handful of games.

They're playing like the 3rd worst team in baseball, too.

They aren't 1-4 against the Indians.
They've played primarily contenders; we haven't.

I heard this earlier today on radio and I agree with it 100%.

I knew that the sox would have a stretch that they would go 4-8, I just did not think it was going to be at the beginning of the season.

and that is all this is.

Probably will be 4-9 after today with the Sox trailing 7-0 in the 2nd and Gavin out of the game already.

This is the worst start in recent memory, and it just cuts the heart out of sox fans who desperately want to believe in this team...just brutal..but,summer still beckons...just wish I had faith that this will all turn out good...hang in there.

Exactly, bringing up their record just doesn't mean much right now, how they are playing is the issue.

Livan Hernandez is leading the league in ERA, he has a complete game against the Brewers, one of the best offensive teams in the NL. He must be awesome.

You can't gauge teams and players this early in the season. Some times teams start off hot or cold, same thing with pitchers and hitters.

The Astros have now won a series....the Sox haven't.
