I'm incredibly nervous for him.

Fans are yelling, "He's got a NO-HITTER!"

What an awesome feeling for him. The celebration seemed kinda muted, though. Probably because he wasn't at his home stadium and was being booed by ATL fans.

Still! How exciting, the first no-hitter of the season.

You could watch the last inning live on MLB.com, this is what I did.

Great day for the Rockies. They were the scourge of God in fall 2007, ripping through the NL like Attila through the Roman Empire. I've liked them ever since and I'm happy to see that they are having continued success.

There was a mix of boos and cheers; the camera shots of the crowd suggest this was a generational thing.

Started him on my fantasy team! :bandance:
I've had him few a few years and he was a keeper for this season.

In the 9th, he was still throwing 98mph after 126 pitches. :o::o:

Kind of annoyed. I was watching MLB network in anticipation and they were broadcasting the Mariners playing the Tigers. It was a co-opted broadcast of the Fox broadcast for the Tigers. The announcers stopped to allow so-and-so from the FSN newsroom relay the update on the game, but they didn't switch to an update at all, they just kept showing the game in progress in Seattle while the announcers apparently took a breather. Then, after about 15 seconds, the announcers returned, thanking so-and-so and remarking about the first Rockies no-hitter in franchise history.

So I didn't get to see it...thought that's what I was paying for when I got MLBN.

First no-hitter in the Rockies history that stretches back to 1993.

The Mets, meanwhile, formed 24 years prior, are still waiting. Baseball is crazy.

Padres haven't had one either. They are the only two.

Mets began in 1962.

BTW, if you haven't seen it yet, check out Dexter Fowler's catch to save the no-no in the 7th. Too bad they don't show Jimenez's reaction... He just stands there and says, "Wow."

So awesome...and I MISSED IT!!! :o:

I was at a friend's wedding of which pretty much all the guests are Rockies fans! It was out in the mountains with no cell service so none of us had a clue. After the wedding, we were loading the cars up and another friend walked in and told us. We were all kinda bummed we missed it but cool because it just added to the day.

It really couldn't have happened to a better guy. Ubaldo is sooooooo humble. A friend saw him at 7-11 one time. People were asking for his autograph and said he had a smile from ear to ear like a kid in a candy store. Congrats Ubaldo!!! :bandance:

I assume they couldn't show it because Fox had the rights?
