Crazy sentence, right? But this play is RIDICULOUS.

I'm not going to lie, I miss Scott Podsednik. I always thought his defense was better than advertised here, and no I'm not saying he is a GG, and I don't fault the Sox for not keeping him.

Clearly this shows another reason why Walker needs to be fired.

I thought it was gonna be better to be honest.

I'd rather have a healthy Podsednik than Pierre.

That health part is the problem though.

That health part is the problem though. I agree and that is why I don't fault Sox management for letting him go.

I have to admit. I'm starting to miss this guy. I trust Juan... but Pods looks like a whole different player than in the years before. Maybe he has turned a corner late and last year wasn't a fluke. Oh well... some players start out hot, we have no idea if losing him is a bad thing or not... all we really know is career averages can't really lie, and both players are kind of batting unlike their usual level.

Pods is obviously trying to prove himself... let's see how long he can keep playing like this.

How can you not feel good for a guy who hit a walk off home run for the SOX in a World Series game?!

The first catch was very good. The other two seemed pretty routine for a good MLB left-fielder.

I'm not a Royals fan, but I'm definitely a Scotty Pods fan. That was an awesome catch.

The first catch was gold. I made a catch like that in RF when I was 15... it's one of those things where you gotta trust your timing and let your open glove do the work because once you dive you have about a tenth of a second before the ball's going to hit or miss.

I love baseball.

Before I look at it, it has to be side to side because he can't go back and can barely come in on a ball. Now to see if I'm wrong.

Two side to side and the last a tough ball hit over his head. I concur the first was great and the others were catches you have to make in MLB. My applause for going back, Scotty.

The irony of his HR in the '05 WS is it wouldn't have been needed if he had even a mediocre arm to nail that tying run at the plate.

Boy he looked good! Showed some nice range in those 2 hits.

Who is going to do for the Sox this year what Pods did in 2009 (and 2005)?

I nominate Omar Vizquel to lead us to third place in '10.
