For the rest of the season, they'll be comparing the web gem of the night to Mark Buehrle's play from Opening Day... So you'll get plenty of chances to see the replay.

Glad to see someone else agrees.

That'll be fun. The more exposure the Sox get, the better.

pirates pitcher just made a good play. rolled around and jai-alai'd the ball to first from his glove hand.

Great play, but I think Buehrle's was better considering he was in a full sprint, between the legs and he was scooping it from the ground. Also he had to do it with the runner bearing down on him. So many variables.

What does it mean to "jai-alai" the ball? I saw the ball, is this verbage in the dictionary?

I haven't seen the play in question, but I gurantee that MB's was better.
No play all year will match MB's.

Yep, not even close. Buehrle's was a no-look, and I think he was farther away from first base too.

Jai-alai (HIGH-lie) is a sport that they play with big scoop and a hard ball like a cue ball. They have it in Florida. I like how it's spelled - how'd that "J" get in there?

Jai alai is a Spanish word, if you need an H sound you use a J.

BBTN rated the Maholm pretty high, but didn't knock off Buehrle.

Thankfully Maholm is a Pirate. If that was Jon Lester or AJ Burnett, we might have been in some trouble.
