After more disappointing performances, this time against the Cubs, perhaps this will lend some solace.

Sosa is currently at #10 in the all time career strike out leader board. Today if Sosa strikes out once he'll tie Dale Murphy at #9 on the board with 1748 Career strikeouts. Two K’s and Sosa’s #9 on the Career strikeout boards all to himself. ‘Welcome to my house. It’s all about me!’

At the rate Sosa's going, he'll be #2 at the end of the 2003 season. You can put that on the board!

yesterday was the first time I've ever seen Sosa actually not take a full cut, and hit the ball the opposite way. Why he picked this weekend to actually try to become a hitter, I don't know. If he does that for a period of time, he might actually live up to his hype and press clippings.

Sammy's tied for #9! With the bases loaded and against Toad Ritchie, our batting practice pitcher.

McGriff is up there somewhere, too. MLB's stats database isn't working for me right now, but I do believe he's in the low 10's.

McGriff is number 11 chasing number 10 within the next 2 weeks. I have been keeping up with it all season. Sosa has a chance to move into the top 6 this season.

Sosa is tied for #9 with 1748.

McWhiff just passed Lou Brock and is in sole possesion of #10 with 1738.

At the rate Sosa's whiffing, he'll be #2 at the end of the 2003 season. He'll have a way to go to pass Reggie Jackson for #1.

Sammy is now in firm command as #9 in the Career All Time Strikeout Leader with 1750!

Eight more K's and Sammy takes over at #8.

Fred McWhiff is #11 with 1738.

BTW Sammy is #2 on the Active Strikeout Leader board and McWhiff is #3.
