Bernie Carbo will always be remembered for his pinch hit homer in Game 6 of the 75 World Series.

I can say that I have never seen a crowd go more bonkers than Fenway did that night. The homer was a bolt of lightning in what seemed to be a lost cause in the 8th inning.

Carbo swings - deep drive to center - GET OUT GET OUT WE'RE TIED UP 6 to 6 MERCY!!!!!!! Ned Martin

Greatest World Series ever...

Even though we lost I was sure that Boston would soon win it all...never thought it would take 29 years.

One of the best World Series ever. Sad story; I always liked Bernie Carbo, let's hope he gets his life back on track.
