If you could bring one White Sox hat with you on a 1-week vacation, the week before opening day, which one would you bring? It could be either a hat you currently own or would want to purchase before you take off.

I say go for the classic black hat, or maybe the 2008 AL Central Champs hat.

Just make sure it matches your shoes.

Probably the team's official hat. If you're gonna represent, represent properly.

The plain black fitted hat I bought 5 or 6 years ago. Except that it doesn't fit very well and thus I need a new one.

I periodically stretch mine to a comfortable fit. It eventually shrinks back, so it's worth having one.

Didn't even know something like that existed, thanks!

59fifty Authentic On-Field. Classic. Black.

I still have my old, very beat-up 100% wool hat but I much prefer my newer polyester one. I think New Era did a great job with the new design.

The current-style on-field 5950 cap. Oh yeah, with the '05 World Series patch on the left side.

The current black on field hat, but the low profile version. I don't like the tall box ones.

I have brought my White Sox visor with me on every vacation I have been on since my wife and my honeymoon to Cabo in 2005. We were in Cabo when the Sox clinched the division vs. the Tigers. Since then its been to Riviera Maya in 2006 and 2009 and Ocho Rios, Jamaica in 2008 and Cartagena Colombia in January 2010 for a wedding. I'm looking forward to OD, anybody buy one of the new BP caps...I'm looking to try one out.

Ditto. The week before opening day is typically March. I usually go with the green Sox hat in March.

I rotate between the one you mentioned and my "9/11" hat that has the American Flag patch on the side.

I'm a big fan of the earflap BP hats. Not because they look so great, but because for me, it's the most comfortable Sox hat I've ever owned.

Did you have to order that from the New Era site?

I need this because my 2005 World Series Hat no longer fits. Where can you find this at?

I look really stupid in hats, so I rarely ever wear one. I do own several White Sox hats, though.

I could usually care less what people wear or look like but leaving the sticker or tags on a hat really bothers me for some reason.

Yeah I did and it seems like they run out of them pretty frequently. Looks like right now they only have it in size 7 3/4.

Any time I ask them for it at Grandstand they tell me they dont make them anymore.

I need this because my 2005 World Series Hat no longer fits. Where can you find this at?If you have a western-wear store near you, they may carry them. Felt cowboy hats often need stretching after they've gotten wet. Otherwise, just Google "hat jack" and you'll find lot of online places to order one. They are usually about $15-20.

That's nice, however I'm one of the few around these parts that never warmed up to that logo. It always reminded me of a crosswalk figure. However, I have warmed up to some of the other red/white/blue retro merchandise.

I wore my black official Sox hat all over the Smoky Mountains last summer while on vacation. I did find last year's batting practice hat at a store a few weeks ago and purchased it - but I am yet to actually wear it out in public. Just can't bring myself to do it yet.

Also a few weeks ago, I saw the dark blue Stars and Stripes hat from 2008 in my size at a Finish Line store and bought that one. I have a cool retro dark blue Sox shirt with a little red on it, which matches perfectly with the hat.
