The last few weeks I've wanted to put a White Sox playlist together that I can play to get pumped for the season. I have some songs, but does anyone else have suggestions? I am trying to stay away from walk-up songs; only really using the iconic ones.

The ones I am thinking of so far:
Let's Go, Go-Go White Sox
Don't Stop Believin'
He's a Pirate
Thunderstruck
Your Love

Sweet Home Chicago

Good call. Any recording you'd recommend? What's the one we post after every home victory?

Sweet Home Chicago by the Blues Brothers.

Also, the Frank Sinatra songs "My Kind of Town (Chicago is)" and "Chicago". Maybe throw in "Start Me Up" by the Rolling Stones and "Boom" by POD (Bobby Jenks theme).

I like the rendition of the team fight song by Tadahito and the Iguchis.

AJ used Bullets by Creed last year. In the past, he's also used AJ Scratch by Curtis Blow.

I actually have one. It's slightly dated, so I'll only include the ones that still apply:
-He's a Pirate- (Pirates of the Carribbean soundtrack)
-Thunderstruck- AC/DC
-Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye- Steam
-Sweet Home Chicago- The Blues Brothers (the version they play after a win)
-Don't Stop Believin'- Journey (a bit dated, but it still makes me think of the '05 team)
-Boom- P.O.D. (Jenks)
-Let's Go, Go-Go White Sox- Captain Stubby and the Buccaneers

In 2008, the AL Central Champion Chicago White Sox often played "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi during the late innings.

That's mine minus Captain Stubby, Sweet Home Chicago at the end, and Have a Nice Day by Bon Jovi between that and Boom.

Here is Shingo Takatsu's entrance music, a remix of the theme to Speed 2:

That is a solid playlist! I would also add

Big Bad Leroy Brown by Jim Croce and Holdin' Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler. Whenever I hear the latter, I think of it being played at Old Comiskey when I was a kid in the 80's hoping for a late inning sox rally.

This one's a little dated, but I always loved hearing "Panama" when Carlos Lee came to bat....

Also, I have "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers on my Sox playlist. I remember them playing that in the pre-game warm up prior to Game 1 of the World Series. Everytime I hear it, reminds me of that game.

There are two things wrong with that statement.

What's the name of the slow piece that plays before He's a Pirate in the montage? Is that also from Pirates?

The piece is called "Harrow's Way". It's not from Pirates. I can't find it anywhere.

I also hear Wooly Bully (Sam Sham & The Pharaohs) and The Beatles version of Twist and Shout played at the Cell fairly often.

If memory serves, wasn't it from "The Last of the Mohicans" movie soundtrack?

For those who were at 2006 Opening Day, when they did the video montage of the 2005 season.. the music is a track called "Across the Mountains", by Vangelis, from the Alexander sdtrk. So that's also a nice add to your lists.

There is some debate as to what it is, but it at least sounds very similar to Elk Hunt from the Last of the Mohicans score. Close enough for me to have it on my White Sox playlist.
