May God be with you, Marlins. And may you have a back-up plan.

20/21 save conversions last year? Man, the National League sucks! :redneck

MacDougal saved his worst for us. Take away his time with the Sox and he's been a decent reliever for the most part.

He pitched very well while with the Nats. Many Nats fans were wondering why the Sox gave up on him... until they saw the numbers.:o:

This signing indicates one thing: this is one of those really bad 4 out of every 5 years for the Marlins...

I think that Macdougal thrives in a low pressure, low expectations kind of environment, as evidenced by his success with the Nasty Nats. He should continue to thrive with the Fighting Fish.

He still can't strike guys out like he had earlier in his career, and his control was still poor - 31 walks in 50 innings is about the same rate he had with the Sox.

If all a team saw was films of his stuff, they'd have to be interested. And so they are. Every team thinks it has the right coach/miracle worker to harness it. If I were the miracle worker, I'd cut down his pitch selection to two and work hard on those. And get a great sports psychologist for him.

...and, apparently, the Nats have picked him back up...at least, according to this Twitter account.
