If Jose gets off to the same kind of start that he had last year with the Sox, Phillie fans will absolutely bury him.

Contreras is a very good option as a long relief guy in the NL.

I thought Jose wasn't too keen on coming out of the bullpen.

From what I heard on the MLB Network Friday night, that's the plan.
Good luck, Jose. Maybe i'll see you pitch when I visit my Dad this summer.

So he an Moyer can sit and discuss their favorite stories from growing up in the 1930's?

Of course, against inferior NL hitting he could come out and pitch like he did when he first came back from the minors.

I used to dislike Jose, but the way he worked his butt off to get back into shape for us to start the season last year (which he had no business doing btw), I have nothing but respect for him. I hope he does very well in Philly.

How did you get the little accent mark over the "e" in Jose?!

C'mon, they are not THAT old.

They grew up in the 60's.

How did you get the little accent mark over the "e" in Jose?!While holding down the <alt> key, use the number keypad (not the numbers above the regular keyboard) to type in 0233; release the <alt> key, and there it is!

If you do a search for "alt key codes" you'll find a lot them.

It was bad enough when he got booed by the (less than) faithful at the Cell. Good luck to the big Cuban.

If he gets booed for sucking, as he has done consistently in the past four seasons, why are the fans less than faithful?

Are they supposed to stand and applaud a guy who kept giving up a bunch of runs and not even getting out of the fifth inning?

Are they supposed to stand and applaud a guy who kept giving up a bunch of runs and not even getting out of the fifth inning? Are we really going to have the "booing" argument again? Booing your own players (unless they're dogging it) accomplishes nothing. No, you don't have to stand and applaud, but those aren't the only two choices.
