Now he's working in the front office, as an assistant to Jim Hendry.

Obviously a good thing for the Cubs. Who better to assist with pitching evaluation and development than Greg Maddux? Hopefully he doesn't help the Cubs out too much.

Greg Maddux has joined the Cubs as an assistant to the G.M.

Now Maddux is definitely going to go to the hall as a Cub.

I'd wager any amount of money he goes in as a Brave, if for nothing else, to keep he, Glavine, and Smoltz together in bronze.

Trust me, I agree with you. I'm just colorblind, so I can't pick teal. :(

Gotcha.

FYI, you can teal your posts by typing in [COLOR = teal] Your sentence here. [ / COLOR]

Just remove the spaces.

I read where he will be an advanced scout, this to me seems like the perfect position for him because nobody knew how to pitch to hitters better than Greg Maddux. I always thought he would be a brilliant pitching coach, but I'm starting to wonder if he wouldn't be a great GM one day too.

It's the single best pick up of the off season for the cubbies.

Good for him - I can truly see Maddux as the GM of a MLB club someday.

Let's see...Sandburg's in position to take over for Lou, and Maddux for Hendry. That means the cubs would have former organizational players in their General and Field Manager positions. Mmm, where did they come up with that idea?

Many other teams did that before the White Sox in other sports. It's not entirely groundbreaking.

Stop making sense. Let's just bash the Cubs instead!
