Good for him. It's surprising how this guy keeps getting more chances after the countless times he's been written off.

He was solid last year with the Giants. Not a bad signing at all.

I love it how teams will just throw all kinds of money at players like this.

Actually Howry has been a remarkably solid reliever over the last ten years. He has a career ERA of 3.66, and has kept it below 4 for 8 out of 11 years not counting 4 games with Boston in 03. He just left a bad last impression with us as "Boom Boom Bobby"

I'm implying that he left a bad taste in our mouths when he left, and despite the impression of him we got after his bad 2001 he has been a remarkably solid middle reliever. I'm implying that other than 2001, he wasn't and isn't quite as bad as people think.
