has anyone done this activity at the Cell? If so can you share your experience. Thanks!

Done it twice, nothing really that special. You're restricted to the outfield between the foul poles, waiting for bp balls to come to you. If not that many people are there with you, it's kind of cool, but if there are a lot of people there, it is a pain in the butt because everyone is sprinting to try to catch a bp ball.

How does one become able to do something like this? Part of a charity auction?

I did this in 2005. I won it at a charity auction though so maybe my experience was different because I was behind homeplate and got to walk from dugout to dugout as long as I stayed off the grass and out of the dugouts but Uribe took me into the Sox dugout. I got a ball signed by most of the team and got some cool pictures with players. I thought the experience I had was something you could buy from the Sox, along with raking the infield and a few other things.
