Loria seems to have a little Veeck in him, at least regarding the stadium:

It reminds me of the old Big Apple that would pop up at Shea Stadium whenever a Mets home run occurred. Did they bring that tradition to Citi Field? Meanwhile, here (http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/fla/ballpark/webcam.jsp) is where you can see the progress of the Marlins ballpark construction on the site of the Orange Bowl in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami. And to connect with their new location, the Marlins will become knows as the Miami Marlins when they move from Dolphin Stadium-Joe Robbie Stadium-Pro Player Stadium-Dolphin Stadium-Land Shark Stadium-Dolphin Stadium to the new ballpark.

Same apple and all, though it takes awhile to start up. I think it was the middle of the season where there was back-to-back homers with another homer coming after an out and the apple didn't come back up for atleast 15 minutes after the 3rd homer haha.

It looks like it will be a nice park. I wonder if Loria will actually spend some money eventually. His payroll is lower than his revenue sharing checks and he gets a ballpark built for his team. What a racket.
