Just saw this. Sounds like he will take link's spot on the 40 man roster. Saw him pitch a few games last year and he didn't seem to bad.

He's ok but I wouldn't expect him to develop into anything. He's one of those "If he's in the game then someone got hurt, got shelled early, or it's an 11 inning game" situations.

He got called up in 2008 and on his first pitch Manny sent a line drive over teh CF wall that probably never went 10 feet off the ground.

Please Please Please let this be a precursor deal to them trading Linebrink

More than likely, the guy that replaces Linebrink in August when he hits the wall.

Meh, solid pick up. Doesn't really help or hurt. Can never have too many arms.

Linebrink already hit the wall. He's currently laying on the ground dazed.

That's what I thought from what I could recall of him.

I like hard throwers, they tend to miss a lot of bats. But same way the ball tends to go a long way if contact is made. But I still like hard throwers.

Are we just picking up all the Freddy's in the league? Freddy Dolsi, Freddy Garcia, Freddy Bynum. Good thing Freddy Sanchez is signed with the Giants.

Maybe we can bring back Chicago native and MLB HOFer Freddie Lindstrom back from the dead, too!

A live arm with control issues? Hey, that worked out well for our pen in 2007! :duck:

No complaints here. He's no primary option, but it's better to go to a guy with at least some considerable big league experience in the event that someone goes down. At their respective stages of their careers, I'd rather have someone like Dolsi filling any vacancy that may open up, rather than Nunez, Omogrosso, or Harrell.

SLIGHT HIJACK: Granted, if we have to make a decision like that, Hudson or Torres would more than likely be the first line of defense... right? Could they be depended upon to be the seventh guy out of the BP if needed, or is the organization looking to keep them both as starters for trade value/insurance purposes in case Garcia goes down?

I know you're being sarcastic, but it is possible since Dolsi was in our division, that someone in the Sox organization knows what could be causing his wildness. Then again, Mike MacDougal was in our division, too.

Mike MacDougal needs a lobotomy. Don Cooper is a pitching coach, not a brain surgeon.
