Santo staying in the Cubs' radio booth until 2012, at least.

Why should Sox fans be mad? It's the Cubs fanst that have to listen to him...

Since I worry so much about the Cubs, this takes away some of the Matsui going to ANA pain.

I don't see what all the bitching is about, I find his antics entertaning. But when the Sox play the Cubs and I have to listen to them because their broadcast is sometimes seconds quicker... It get's annoying. :(:

Nobody stuck a gun to your head and made you read WTS.

Anyways, Santo is a pompous gasbag and the longer he's in the limelight the longer we have to listen to his whining.

You never HAVE to listen to their broadcast. Both TV broadcasting teams and radio broadcasting teams call those games. You have the option of which one you want to go with.

We'll agree on that part.

I wonder how his broadcast partner (his name alludes me) feels? He has been carrying Santo for years and seems like a decent announcer.

There is nothing more entertaining than listening to Ron Santo when the Cubs are losing.

Oh, but it's so much sweeter when you get to hear "Gaaaasssss...He gone!" or "You can put it on the board....Yesss!" from the greatest baseball announcer ever!

Extend Hendry until 2015 and I'll be really happy.
