I see MacDougal is on the list....once the Nats reached the point that they had to pay him, they had enough.

Tough day for these guys. I had such high hopes for them too, and I thought that Reed would do well. Oh well.

Our CF, LOOGY, and other needed bullpen arms are all covered with this group!!

I'm thinking Reed may not make the HOF.

I wouldn't mind signing Cotts to a minor league deal or inviting him to ST if he doesn't get signed elsewhere to see if he can rekindle some magic. A lefty reliever who is "on" is a very valuable commodity.

Didn't he just have Tommy John surgery?

This worked out the same way the Contreras/Loaiza trade did. We both swapped players neither wanted, then the Sox ended up getting something good out of their end of the bargain.

Shocker. No teal needed.

It took a trade to Boston and getting released by Boston, but WSI finally has a thread about BA that isn't 24 pages long filled with heated arguments.:redneck

In that we have Kotsay who Boston was going to release, we won the trade of unwanted players.

If we sign Reed now, it's still possible he'll wear a Sox cap in the HOF.
/saw jabrch's post, still couldn't resist

Can't wait to see the comments when at some point De Los Santos is waived by the A's.
