What about Dan Uggla to be the next DH for the Sox?
I understand they might want to fill the spot with a LH bat but
This guy averages 30HR's and 90 RBI's in a weak lineup and might
improve in this lineup.

He also strikes out a ton, and I doubt he'd be within the budget.

What budget? No one knows what the budget really is?
He might cost the same thing Hideki Matsui would and he is much healthier.

Matsui is also a free agent. Uggla isn't. There are more than dollars involved here. And who are you willing to give up to get him, because the marlins won't trade him for nothing.

plus Matsui brings in Japanese marketing $ to whoever signs him.

We really need a LH power bat.

Plus, Uggla stands to make $7-9 million this year and seems really stubborn about not wanting to give up 2B. That is a maiin reason why many teams are cool towards him.

Plus, FLA probably wants MLB ready players for him, which we cannot afford to give up to get this guy.

While he has been one of the best Rule 5 picks in this decade, I think we can do better via trade or FA than him.

I can see all the White Sox hats in Tokyo now!!! Bring him on!
