I was going to say the exact same thing. Could you imagine a clubhouse of Ozzie, AJ, and Bradley? Yeesh...

It will have to be a bad contract for a bad contract trade. I don't think they are willing to eat too much of Bradley's contract in any deal.

Maybe Detroit needs an outfielder after the Granderson trade. Cubs could take the bad contracts of Willis, Bonderman or Maggs?

The Angels and Gary matthews Jr?

On The Score this AM, they were mentioning the Royals.

Greinke for Bradley is a very, very fair and balanced transaction.

For the White Sox.

I kind of doubt The Royals are the AL team. If it is, then it's Jose Guillen going to The Cubs.

My guess?

Swish for Bradley. Hendry was looking at Swish before we acquired him.

Swish has far more value. Not happening.

I think that's one reason why it would be consider a "surprise" :D:.

Maybe he meant surprise as in -

"Surprise!! We overpaid for him and now he's lying on your doorstep!"

I don't think Bradley's contract is that bad, HE, as a person, is bad. So the bad contract for bad contract arguement doesn't seem to fly, or he would have been gone a long time ago. Nobody wants that guy around their team. I say he's a cub for the next two years. Or they might just flat out release him. How much money, and or pizzas, has Jim Hendry eaten over the last three years? Has to be a record.

I hope it's Detroit or Minnesota.

It's hard to believe any team would be dumb enough to take him.

There's no way that his talent makes up for his personailty let alone his injuries and his contract. It's not even close. The guy has only played in 140 games once in his whole career and he'll be 32 and has bad knees.

Oh, and he can destroy your clubhouse and totally piss off your fan base. For what?

Honestly, if the Cubs paid half his salary or so, he'd probably be a great leadoff solution with that high OBP. I'm sure I'll get attacked for this though.

The Cubs scapegoated the hell out of him. The organization signed him to a stupid contract, asked him to do stuff he's not good at, and then blamed him when the whole team sucked. Meanwhile, Alfonso Soriano is doing his best impression of Vernon Wells and nobody is trying to run him out of town.

Correct. I understand he is a head case - but I GUARANTEE he will not be nearly as bad any where else as he was last year with the Cubs.

Yeah, but as a lead off hitter? GMAB.

Speed in the leadoff spot is vastly overrated. Really all that's important is obp. Obviously if he goes back to hitting the way he can he should be in the 4 spot or so, but even last year he had an obp of .378.

He'd be a disaster in the OF though.

I'm not saying I want him on the Sox. I was just agreeing that the Cubs put him in a very very ****ty situation over and over again.

Nick Swisher had a pretty high OBP when the Sox acquired him. He was good for about a month in the lead off spot.

I don't think we need to worry about that. KW saw first hand the baggage he brings.

I hope KW doesn't think Bradley is a harmless loon like Everett. I suppose they would sell a bunch of extra tickets as I'm sure there would be many a jackass Cub fan that comes to the Cell to boo him though.

What's interesting is that the Angels, Mariners, Rangers, Rays and Jays have all denied interest.

Who does that leave?

AL Central- Royals?
AL East - Orioles? Red Sox?
AL West- no one

NL Central - Brewers? Reds?
NL West- Giants? Dodgers? Rockies?
NL East - Mets? Braves?

Wow. Could you possibly imagine Jose Guillen and Bradley on the same team...... In the same clubhouse????

It would be a hell of a fight. My odds are on Guillen putting Bradley on his wise ass....

At least until Milton pulls a switchblade on him!:D:

And I'd have no desires to see Grienke with CHC, even if the trade is a pipedream.

Doesn't sound ridiculous to me. A team that thinks it has an aura, wears magic pinstripes...could be a fit, at least in their minds. Still, probably not.
