It's official...the Red Sox now have the shortest middle infield in the game. Not a typical signing by them, but a good one.

Much better move than having Pedroia switch to short, for which he doesn't have the arm to play well.

If they sign David Eckstein it will be one of the shortest in history, especially with him as the backup INF, he is not even 5'4"!!
