I cannot believe this guy was just cut. He's always looked good when I've seen him pitch with KC and BOS and might be just what we need. A good, reasonably priced, RHRP.
He's definitely better than Pena.

You're thinking of the wrong guy. This Ramon Ramirez (http://espn.go.com/mlb/players/stats?playerId=29222) has pitched in Cincy the past two years for a total of 39.1 innings. The guy you're thinking of (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=6503) was traded for Coco Crisp last year, and is still on the Red Sox.

Tampa released Ramon A. Ramirez after claiming him from the Reds. Ramon S. Ramirez remains a member of the Red Sox.

That is the guy I was thinking of. CBS linked it to the wrong Ramirez.
